Whilst preparing our short break in Ljubljana, Slovenia, we noticed that we could do a quick hop to Zagreb in Croatia. It’s less than two hours on a coach. We didn’t really know what to expect of the city, but we were excited to pay a day visit. To be honest, we were a little underwhelmed by it – the city doesn’t quite have the charm and character of Ljubljana – but we still had a good time. We particularly enjoyed our visits to Heritage (authentic Croatian cuisine) and Monocycle (superb coffee). We were also taken by the number of nuns and monks walking around! The city’s tram system was also fun to explore, particularly the older trams. All this meant that there was some good material for the street and urban photographer in me!
